Tender Opportunity for Heating Contractor.

Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council is seeking a contractor to replace the existing heating and hot water system at Poult Wood Golf Club with modern air source heat pumps. This project aims to remove oil-burning systems and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the 1970s-built facility, which remains a live, operational site managed by the Tonbridge & Malling Leisure Trust. The works encompass the clubhouse, kitchen, changing rooms, squash courts, and a self-contained flat. The estimated contract value is £324,000 (including VAT), with a five-month delivery programme scheduled to begin in May 2026.

  • Compliance with all relevant environmental and carbon reduction standards specified by the Council.
 
Ideal Contractor
  • An SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) with specialist experience in large-scale air source heat pump installations.
  • Proven track record in retrofitting 1970s-era commercial or leisure buildings with sustainable heating technology.
  • Capable of managing mechanical and electrical works in occupied, multi-use sites.
  • Proactive approach to project management to ensure completion within the strict five-month programme.
